Weak Sauce Senators

In our senate right now, there are democratic senators who are falling in line with republicans and their corporate donors. Senators have no spine and no balls when it comes to calling out the Republican's bullshit. Our senators do not serve us. Instead they serve their donors.

In January of this year Independent senator Bernie Sanders introduced a budget resolution that would allow identical, cheaper drugs to be imported from other countries such as Canada. It failed with a vote of 52-46. I would like to note that Diane Feinstein did not vote as she was recuperating from surgery she just had. Ok so it's expected all Republican's are against it and all democrats are for it. WRONG!!! A total of 12 republicans voted in favor of it and 13 democrats voted against it. Of the 13 democrats include Cory Booker, Robert Casey, Pat Murray, Heidi Heitkamp and Chris Coons. "How is this possible when 12 republicans voted in favor including Ted Cruz?" we ask. Of the 13 senators, most have received huge contributions from the pharmaceutical industry. Feinstein, who did not vote, also received 100K in contributions. Claims of the amendment not meeting safety standards is a load of hogwash. You know it's a dark day when Ted Cruz is in favor of democratic ideals and 13 are not. Unlimited campaign contributions from corporations are what is wrong with our senators. When bribery is legal, Americans get fucked.

Scott Pruitt, who is a longtime opponent of the Environmental Protection Agency or the EPA, was confirmed to lead the EPA with a senate vote of 52-46 with two senators not voting. Ok, well again this would be expected with the republicans controlling 52 seats. Again, WRONG!!! The two senators who did not vote were Republican senator John McCain and Democratic senator Joe Donnelly. One Republican senator Susan Collins voted against him and two Democratic senators Joe Manchin and Heidi Heitkamp voted in favor despite the fact that a judge ordered the release of Pruitt's emails with oil and coal groups.

We need to vote these types of senators out when their elections come. We need to elect real progressives who fight for us and fight for free and fair elections. Until these senators grow a pair and fight back, they will lose come 2020.
