My name is Raymond and I am an Independent from California. I preregistered to vote early as an Independent following the results of the DNC election of Tom Perez. I got really into politics at the beginning of the 2016 election in late 2015. Naively I supported Hillary Clinton with one of the reason being it would be nice to have a female president. It wasn't until the start of the primaries where my eyes were opened to Bernie Sanders and the facts that showed Hillary was a corporate candidate.
I originally wanted to work in a career in victim services. But as the election went on and the results that have happend after it, I am now motivated to pursue a career in politics more than ever. It is my goal to fight for free and fair elections, true progressive policies and to call out un-progressive and corporate political figures.
